Extrait d'ortie (urtica dioica) et cancer de la prostate

Une étude a examiné l'activité d'un extrait d'ortie sur l'activité proliférative de cellules épithéliales et stromales (cellule tissulaire) prostatiques humaines. Un effet concentration-dépendant significatif a été observé uniquement sur les cellules épithéliales pendant 7 jours alors que la croissance des cellules stromales n'était pas altérée. L'effet anti-proliférateur de l'extrait d'ortie a été observé sur un model in vivo et sur un système in vitro indiquant clairement une action biologique utile des composants présents dans l'extrait.
